Vintage Pin-up revitalized with a splash of tropical. Candies meet psychedelia. Lalalove London serves up a cocktail of contrasts and juxtaposition of opposites for the summer season. Sweet, synthetic candy colours go side-by-side with bold psychedelic graphics, on pieces that range from ubiquitous T-shirts with a quirky attitude, the day-to-night tunic dresses, versatile bombers and, for those who need a glamorous touch for an evening party, some long dresses in tube silhouette.
Psychedelic Sweet is Lalalove's take on sweet and femininity synonymous with the summer season. But Lalalove's sweetness far from mundane. Our tongue-in-cheek quirkiness sees us taking the uber-romantic details like ruffles to another level. Be it ruffle at the hem of T-shirt dress or oversized ruffle on the shoulder of a one-shoulder dress, we give it a sheen, sparkling neon touch, all finished with Lalalove's much revered prints, from giant pineapple to Mr Cotton Candy.
Using Lalalove's key materials like stretchy cotton, Psychedelic Sweet keeps up with Lalalove's fascination of mixing cotton with luxurious materials to create edgy looks. From last season's tutu, Psychedelic Sweet plays with Italian silk in vivid colours, which give the collection a seasonal touch, albeit in Lalaove's own cheeky way.
